Yes, it had. It made me realize how even more divided we are as a nation. It has disheartened me just how uncivil and unkind many people are. It has also disheartened me how uninformed people are about how our government was designed and how it works. It has disheartened me that people can't seem to disagree with civility and respect. And it has disheartened me how people are not paying attention to the important policy challenges we have.
Trump is a dishonest demagogue and bully. Cruz just wants to shut down the government. Hillary is a crook and dishonest. Kasich is ok. I don't agree with him on everything but he has good experience. While Sanders is a little too far left for me, he will hopefully spur some good discussion, and given a Republican Congress, some of the more radical and expensive things won't get passed.
