Yes, following a 2013 law, voters must present one of four forms of photo ID. Previously, no documents were required to vote.

Without ID, a voter may still vote if he signs an affidavit attesting to his name and address.

No excuse is required to mail in an absentee ballot.

What if You Have a Felony Conviction? (Restrictive)

Felons are prohibited from voting while in prison, on parole and on probation.

Can You Vote In Person Before Election Day? (Less restrictive)

Yes, Idaho introduced early voting in 2013. It begins the third Monday before Election Day and ends Friday at 5 p.m. before the election.
